  • Well worth reading

Well worth reading. The structure of the book follows the different categories you will find on food labels (Fat, Carbs, Protein etc) and goes into each with an analysis of the pros and cons of each food type and an overview of scientific studies into the area. There are no easy answers with the book emphasising the relatively poor quality of available research data. He has a major focus on gut microbes and the book is very much centred on linking foods and diets to the impact on your gut microbes. Much of the conclusions will not be that surprising although there were some things I'll change as a result of reading.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Spector, Diet Myth

An excellent discussion of the new science of our internal microbes, from a practising scientist and doctor. Technical, but also perfectly comprehensible.
