  • Thrilling and insightful

Paced and thoughtful, this novel is a journey, though as packed with philosophy and ideas as action and intrigue. As a newcomer to Le Guin's work, but sci-if fan, I loved this and look forward to reading more from the author. Highly recommend.

  • Great book

A fantastic error, who strings together a vision of a different universe, providing another reflection of humanity

  • Rather long but glad I finished

This is a long read and was rarely gripping. It is an interesting reflection on anarchy and the greed of capitalism.

  • Verbose but fun exploration of anarchism

Le Guin clearly put a lot of thought into her choice of words; the concept of anarchism and how it relates to language is evident in the way The Dispossessed describes its worlds to the reader. Even so, the story is easy to follow and Le Guin's Hainish universe is understandable from this read alone (this is the first of her books that I've read). It's a political, conceptual, and not very thrilling adventure that refreshingly strides into innovative feminist literature. Sci-fi needs this kind of thinking.

  • Boring

I persevered and finished the book (just) however skipped paragrahs due to losing interest in the subject matter.
