  • It's like reading the same story 3 times

It's difficult to review the set when the books are different. Book 4 (Broken) is really a continuation of books 1 -3 (just with a change of characters that are focused on. Book 5 (Foresaken) except for the main Djinn character isn't really tied to the other books (except for being part of the same apoplectic future). Book 6 (Forbidden) is the first book that is clearly a paranormal romance (since for 90% of the book, there is a human woman, a male Djinn, and a dog (and the dog isn't part of the romance). In essence though, for all 3 of these books, the plot, the conflict, and the resolution are basically the same. It makes me wonder if the remaining 6 books in the series are once again retelling the same story.
