    Regency erotica with revenge twist

Young Lady Dorothea is helping to plan her nephew's wedding to Amelia, Julian Remington, the Duke of Blackmoor's daughter. But lately she has been feeling restless and bored with life in her brother's home. Much to her surprise, she finds herself attracted to the cynical, jaded and arrogant Duke. Even more surprising, her desire is returned. Their passion blazes out of control, but a vengeful woman from his past has decided to use Thea to tear Blackmoor's world apart. This introduction to Mortimer's Regency Unlaced series is high on heat, but low on novelty. The plot of this novella is fairly predictable, but the author does deliver erotically charged scenes that burn up the page. The writing style is fluid and easy, and Mortimer does an excellent job of establishing a bond between the main characters given the limited length of the novella. This is a quick read introducing a series that fans of Regency erotica will likely enjoy.

    Red Hot Racy Regency Romp!

Young widow Lady Thea longs to take a lover. To become a mistress to explore her own needs and desires. The Duke of Dartmoor’s dominant and daunting demeanor distances all but his beloved daughter Amelia who is marrying Thea’s nephew George, Julian, the Duke is surprised by his attraction to Thea, and to discover such raw sensuality beneath her prim, proper and plain exterior. His desire for control is met by her equal strength of will, and their steamy sexual encounters are sizzling! His past puts them in danger but life and love are always full of risks and rewards. And satisfying cilimaxes. Definitely a read to make you feel hot and needing to be unlaced.

    Short yet interesting

I found it interesting to read about what young widows, like Dorothea would consider acceptable endeavors during this era with a notorious duke. The real story is what circumstances led them to the loving end.
