  • The Duke's Quandry

A fun and entertaining story with a steamy side that was interesting. Not too many unusual twists and turns but still enjoyable.

  • I enjoyed the book

I enjoyed this book even though I knew what the final outcome would be. For those who like this era in British history it is a light and fun book.

  • A Good Title for The Book.

I liked this Pygmalion version of " Penelope" , a brave, bumbling botanist who enjoyed her deceased father's tutoring, but barely endured that of her aunt and the Duke of Manchester's family. I wanted the Duke to 'hurry up' and resolve his dilemma, to realize that his ideal of perfection, Lady Daphne, was not faultless.

  • Heart's Desire

This was my second time reading this book and it’s still as good as it was the first time. I love both the heroine and hero – they are so well matched, and the way that Drake ultimately show’s Penelope that he loves and accepts her for who she is. Watching them fall in love – the partner they got was not the one they expected. Drake is strong, smart, caring and very protective – my kind of hero. Watching him realize that he’s in love was pure pleasure as it was not what he wanted or expected in his choice of bride. Penelope is smart, independent, and spunky. While she lacks confidence in fitting in, she doesn’t lack it in her love of botany. You’d think that these two characters are opposites, but at the heart, they are similar. Truly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to finishing the rest of the series.
