  • An Unexpected Love

Justin and Miles are twins, but they could not be more different. Justin was now the Duke of Wiltshire, all decency and goodness. Miles on the other hand was unruly, a bounder, rogue and devilish. "Miles, you must save me" Justin told his brother. What could that mean? Come to find out Justin was in financial straits from the debt his father had left and needed to marry a heiress. Miles had no idea and was glad to help but Justin insisted. He wanted him to switch places with him as the two Livingston sister came to visit so Justin could see if they only wanted the title. Sisters Rebecca and Lydia arrive with their parents to visit the Duke with hopes he will become enamored with the beautiful sister Lydia. But when Becca stumbles into the Dukes arms, it seems fate may have been sealed at that moment, A delightful novella that brought a smile and made my heart happy!

  • A Novella with all the right ingredients

This is a quick and very enjoyable read. Twin brothers and two sisters reaching out to see what their future could be. I loved the H/h personalities. They were lively, fun and forthright. Simple premise of the four of them falling in love was entertaining to read. I felt bad for our heroine as her mother favored her younger sister over her. When the mother would speak with her it was almost mean and cruel. But in essence was pity that she was not as accomplished or beautiful like her younger sister. It broke my heart. Thank goodness our hero could see past all that and liked her for who she was. She was fun. witty, loved to read, played the harp (which he loved because his dearly departed mother played the harp also) and she never walked away from a challenge. She blossomed around him without her mother around. A great short story. I highly recommend it. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Great, quick read

The Duke's Twin: A Regency Short Story by Lauren Smith is an enjoyable Regency novella. A quick read about twin brothers and two sisters who are looking for a match. An enjoyable read with humorous banter, an interesting cast of characters and a great storyline. An enjoyable, satisfying and fun read. "I voluntarily received a complimentary copy, however,  these are my honest opinions. I was in no way required nor compensated to write a review." Rating: 4.5 Heat rating: mild Reviewer: AprilR
