  • A good thriller marred by bad research

It's exciting but uneven. Many interesting characters but some are cliches. Tortures allegedly dating from the Inquisition are crucial as is perverted religion, yet the author clearly doesn't know the difference between ancient, medieval and modern nor Protestant and Catholic, and that a Catholic monk could never be an executioner (but could be a torturer). This impaired but did not kill my enjoyment.

  • Dying hour

I found this book to be excellent. A fan of Rick Mofina he did not disappoint one bit. The story was gripping, characters portrayed many facets of human emotions and life's turmoils. Deadly perversions, enduring love, tenacity and ambitions as well as a rollercoaster of heartaches, longing and ultimately fulfillment and triumph in persisting and following instincts and gut feelings in spite of opposition.

  • Good book

Eerily dark, exciting, nerve twisting book. The ups and downs of a job that had been a cherished wish can be felt.
