  • Great Series

I received an ARC of this book to read through Edelweiss+ in exchange for a fair review. The Earl Takes A Fancy by Lorraine Heath is the fifth book in her Sins for All Seasons series. While it is not absolutely necessary to have read the previous books to enjoy this one having read them will give you better understanding of Fancy’s family dynamics and they are all very good. Fancy Trewlove is about to make her season debut, it’s something that has her worried because although she knows her family wants only good things for her she’s not sure that she can make a success in the ton because she was born on the wrong side of the blanket and what she really wants is what her siblings have a partner who loves her and not just her dowry. Matthew Sommersby, Earl of Rosemont, made the mistake of believing his first wife wanted him and not his title and wealth. Hiding out from the title seeking debutants of the ton, he meets Fancy in her bookstore, introduces himself as plain Matthew Sommersby and is enchanted by Fancy, only to learn that she too is seeking a title. Watching these two find their way to each other despite fears and family expectations make for a lovely read. Medium Steam. Publishing Date March 31, 2020. #EdelweissPlus #TheEarlTakesAFancy #LorraineHeath #VictorianRomance #HistoricalRomance #AvonRomance #HarperCollinsCanada #bookstagram
