  • Absolutely dreadful.

Please stick with the Greenstones. The first book was great. Then the quality of the writing got worse and worse. Started to improve and then went back to quality of the first book. Too good a writer to just churn them out. Looking forward to the next in the Greenstone series.

  • Worth the Read But a Bit Disappointing.

Overall this 4 book series is good and worthwhile reading. There is a serious (to me) error in the second book which I have brought to the author's attention. When Emma visits a Dairy Farm she comments about the cows seem unhappy and you would be too if you were being pumped full of hormones. This series is set in Ontario, Canada and in Canada our Dairy Farmers are not allowed to use growth or any other hormones in their Dairy Cattle. Milk production is regularly tested. I hope Harper Lin corrects this. My biggest disappointment was the way the last book ends. I will not do a spoiler alert, but it just seemed very trite and to me made Emma look desperate. You draw your own conclusions.
