  • The Essex Serpent

The Sunday Times raved about this historical fiction novel - I didn't. Took a long time to get where it was going and wasn't really worth the trip.

  • The Essex Serpent

To be honest, l found this book quite boring. The only thing that kept me turning the pages was the hope of something interesting to happen.

  • Atmospheric but underwhelming

Quite atmospheric, but very little actually takes place. Long, and rambling in places. I found this a little underwhelming.

    Thanks for your feedback!
