  • Meh..

I thought I would enjoy this more than I did. The character development of Eijeh/Ryzek would have been a gold mine, but it wasn't fully taken advantage of. The major conflict following the twist (which I must admit was a great touch, I never saw that coming) could have probably been solved by a single conversation. Akos' motivations from then on where unclear and his conviction didn't make sense, and thus was not believable. Ryzek is a better, more complex villian than Lazmet. I did like the world building in this book better than the first. tl;dr: This is an okay read, could be better. Expected more from this sequel after the wait.

  • A great second book. You have to read it.

The second book was as good as the first one. Now knowing the characters and the background of this world you can more thoroughly enjoy the storyline. Full of angst, missed opportunities and thwarted romance you will love the story. Violence within the storyline but it fits with what is going on. Loved reading this book and seeing what happens with the main characters.

  • The Fates Divide review Zoe mentjeux

The Fates divide is a thrilling book that when you get told to put your lights out at bedtime you look forward to reading the next exciting part of the story! The book is filled with love, death, war, adventure and leadership and I definently recommend it to early teens e.g 11 and up
