    Robet Harris never diasappoints

I wondered if Harris could do non-historic fiction.Well he certainly can on this evidence, albeit he does make more than a nodding acknowledgement to a certain former Labour PM. A cracking good read by a master story teller.

    The Ghost

I didn't like it at first - generally I don't like stories written in the first person, and nearly abandoned it as 'a read' - but I'm glad I didn't (abandon it) and it was fast-paced and brilliantly constructed. I recommend it.

    Onderhoudend

Het is niet het beste boek dat ik heb gelezen van Harris, maar het is zeker onderhoudend. Verrassend op een bepaalde manier en vooral heerlijk ontspannende lectuur.

It takes a while to deliver its mess

A very good read, but it takes a long time to get started. At times, one does not think that it will amount to much but the story line, with a starter pistol’s shot, is in full gear running at a swift pace with all the jigsaw puzzle pieces gradually falling into place. Masterful intrigue,, a truly realistic story.
