    Too long!

I’ve read it after ‘Bluemoon in Paris’, because it is its sequel. But I think that ‘The girl you left behind’ is far too long. The story of the painting is a little boring, except at the end of the book. The whole story is quite unbelievable: after all the information that the French had about the Germans and the destiny of French prisoners, it’s less than realistic that the protagonist doesn’t try to escape her fate. Anyway I’ve liked the book-division between past and present, linked by the painting itself.

    Fantastic Story

This is such a great book! It stayed on my bookshelf for two years and one day I decided to open it... It was impossible to put down after that! Great story, very interesting and moving characters, funny with a touch of WW1 history. I cannot recommend it enough!

    Fascinating!

A story that combined history, art & a bit of a thriller. Very hard to put down!

    The girl you left behind

Love this book, so much history, drama and romance. Jojo Moyes is outstanding no two books are the same, so much research and care goes into each book so you never know what to expect one of the best authors of our time.
