    Good, Bad and the Duke

I picked this book as I hadn't read to any of her. This bounced while I was reading but that was my fault. During reading I was in the hospital with my husband for a week. It worked for me. This is about children friends When you grow up everything chases. One of the young friends, Alice, died and they moved apart. Daphne loved Lord Paul, who took Daphne's another. It was Claire and got back all , but Paul who is now out for Paul. This story is all action. Some like and some won't! I can see how all these books go as real people. I love this era! Give your book a chance! Please be ready for all your tissues! I hope you will use my recommend. You will not regret!

    Watching Love Grow

I really enjoyed this one! Watching Daphne go through a phase of learning about herself and deciding she's going to live life for herself and stop trying to please others. Paul had to be taught that he was worth something. That someone actually believed in him and loved him for himself. Daphne had loved him since she was a child and it took her awhile to realize it and to figure out who was most important in her life. Well worth the read! Thank you NetGally for the advanced copy!

    A Beautiful Heart Touching Romance

The Good, the Bad, and the Duke (The Cavensham Heiresses Book 4) by Janna MacGregor is the 4th book in this series but can be read as a standalone... I loved the book it was a captivating story of Forbidden love ...The plot is interesting ,very well written & presented... Janna has a simple style of writing easy to follow... The story is of Lady Daphne Hallworth whois a spinster ...she is sister to Alex, Duke of Pembrook. Daphne's character is bold, strong, brave and self-sufficient, her thinking ahead of her times.Dapne is working toward building a home for unwed mothers. When she is forgotten and accidentally left she decides to celebrate alone .. When her journal is stolen, she tries chasing the thief down as she must get it back since it holds so many family and personal secrets. Our hero Paul Barstowe, second son of the Duke of Southart now the Duke rescues her and promises to help her retrieve her journal. Paul & Daphne get attracted & fall in love with each other when they are thrown together while searching her diary ... Paul stands in bad books of Daphne's Family for his past indiscretions ,bad conduct, actions...Will he be able to rectify his mistakes & redeem himself by making himself a man worthy of Daphne's love ???? will Daphne place her trust, belief , faith, support in Paul to stand upto her Family ???? This story was so heart touching , full of lovable characters, intense emotions, love , Romance , sizzling chemistry ... I love it when the character of a women portrayed in a story that too based in Regency era is strong ... It was a beautiful Romance ...Kudos to Janna for a beautiful Romance

    Historical Romance

When Lady Daphne Hayworth was nine an encounter with Paul Barstowe, her brother’s best friend, made a lasting impression. Years later they are given the opportunity to spend time together during the holidays and what transpires changes both of their lives forever. It takes them a bit of time to get to their happily ever after but with each page read I felt the story building and growing in a way that had me hoping all would work out for both of them in the end. This story is well plotted and written with both Daphne and Paul people I admired and could relate to. I loved their story and can’t wait to read what comes next. I am unsure who gets their story told next BUT would love to see the vicar appear in a book of his own someday as he is a man that intrigues me. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC – This is my honest review. 4-5 Stars

    I Loved It

Lady Daphne Hallworth is twenty-five years old and has resigned herself to being a spinster. She has had offers but wanted none of them. Because she is wealthy in her own right and has a loving family there is no need for a husband. What Lady Daphne wants most is to open a home for unwed mothers, to protect them from what happened to her sister. Lord Paul Barstowe has recently become a Duke after the deaths of his brother then his father. He loved his brother and wants to build a hospital in his name for people suffering from the same ailments. Unfortunately he spent most of his life aggravating his father and proving he was the bad son. Now he has to earn back his respectability. Notes from his father delivered deliberately after his death do nothing to help his self-worth. An emotional and saucy historical romance with very lovable characters. Our heroine has lost something very precious to her, but potentially dangerous to her family and will risk anything to get it back. Our hero is much too hard on himself for things that where beyond his control. You will laugh and cry while reading this. It is part of a series but easily read on it's own. It will however tempt you to read the previous books in the series. I hope there are at least two more coming. (Maybe set in Northumberland) I loved it.
