  • Warning: Slight spoiler. TTO APOLLO

I think that Trials of Apollo is going to be an amzing series to read. This book is very interesting because as well as Apollo, Rick Riordan also brings in Percy Jackson, Sally Jacson, a few old campers and Meg (who is new). The story explains some things in the Heroes of Olympus that readers have been sching to know. "Where did Leo go?" "What happened to the power of prophecy?"

  • Returning to Percy Jackson's world.

Apollo is punished by Zeus for the wars with the Titans and Giants – he gets kicked out of Olympus and lands in a dumpster… as a mortal. The mixture of ancient being and self-absorbed teenager makes Apollo/Lester an interesting character. He grows, admits his ancient faults and even makes peace with those he had wronged in the past. It’s a great character-driven story in that aspect. Adventure, danger, prophecy and an unwilling hero makes this a great story. And, of course, returning to Percy Jackson’s world and catching up (briefly) with Percy is also fun. My favourite part is the lead-up to finding the Oracle of this book and all the action, surprises and Apollo’s emotional growth adding to the depth of the story. A must-read for fans of Rick Riordan and those who love myths and folklore.
