  • A strong hero and a desperate lady

Diarmid Mactavish's life is ordered and despite his family's past, he is generally content. Discovering widow Fiona Grant unconscious on his strip of windswept beach upends all his plans and changes his life irrevocably. Fiona's focus is on one thing only, and that is to rescue her daughter, Christine. Falling into enemy hands seems like a disaster but Fiona quickly finds that she is receiving more nurturing and respect from the Mactavishes than she ever had at the hands of her own clan. Diarmid is furious when he discovers that Fiona has lied to him when her family comes to retrieve her, but a gentle word in his ear has him racing after her to rescue her once again. Two reluctant people experience the pull of attraction, despite their previous vows to themselves and when they have to work together to find Christine, respect, and trust work their way into the relationship. I have read the previous two books in this series, and it was enjoyable meeting up with the other characters once again. This romance is well written, suspenseful and fast-paced. It is also a standalone and comes a very successful and happy conclusion. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.

  • A new twist on amnesia

The two characters were beautifully portrayed as their story progressed. It was an interesting twist on amnesia and one which was certainly justified as the story explained. Thoroughly enjoyed this book!
