    Stereotypical Romance Novel

This book fulfills every stereotype of a romance novel imagined by people who trash talk the romance genre. Questionable consent, unintelligent women (oh, we've figured out a huge piece of the puzzle regarding the murderer, but let's not tell anyone until after the party!), grossly unrealistic physical intimacy, and plotholes. The premise is interesting, but the storytelling was rushed. And I really couldn't get over the questionable consent. I kept reading with the hopes that I was overreacting. I wasn't. I love romance as a genre, but this book disappointed me in a huge way.
