If I could give a percentage it would be 72%

The writing style of the book was really well crafted... It grabbed me in straight away. The subtitle was really interesting too. But I don't think it was really what the book was about.. I wonder if it was not originally intended by the author... The first half of the book was amazing... Fascinating characters, interesting story lines. The second half though, felt like the author had lost interest somewhat.. I felt it let the book down.

    Interesting writer

I didn't want to like this book as much as I did. I thought the concept of knowing when you will die was repugnant but the characters and their relationships with one another are quite fascinating. The book was well written and interesting: is fate predetermined or what can we consciously change ourselves?

    More gripping than expected

This book was chosen by another member in my bookclub. When told the outline of the story, I really hadn't expected to enjoy reading it.

    Food for thought

I really enjoyed reading this. A few unexpected twists kept me turning the pages. Certainly left me thinking about how I live my life.

THOUGHT PROVOKING BOOK "THE IMMORTALISTS" BY CHLOE

The immortalists is a beautifully written, thought-provoking story, unlike anything I have ever read before, about 4 siblings who are Israeli immigrants.who as children, go to see a woman who can tell the exact date of your death, despite being warned to stay away from her. We follow our characters years later when they are adults. The book is exceptionally well written and unique. What I liked most about the immortalists was the representation of culture and the diversity of characters. we are thrown right into the story and just want to know what happens next. Getting to know the death dates mentally disrupts our characters and they begin to abuse alcohol and cigarettes heavily. I would highly recommend this book. I love the way the book shows sibling relationships and cultural ritualism. their death dates are coming closer wanna know what happens next?
