  • Love And Schemes

The Infamous Heir, the first book in Elizabeth Michels' Spare Heirs series, demonstrates that sometimes opposites can compliment each other when on common ground. Suspense and danger interrupt the seemingly well mapped out lives of the hero and heroine in this nicely written work. As attraction overwhelms childhood friends they battle the unavoidable and the ulterior motives of people out to eliminated them. Love and schemes take readers on an adeptly plotted story. Ms. Michels presents a well researched and thoughtful tale that will resonate with an audience that enjoys the combination of mystery and romance! *I received this ARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.*

  • ...an easy read that had character.

The Infamous Heir is not all fun and games. Their is mischief afoot and Ethan Moore is quickly at the center of it. Thanks to Sourcebooks and NetGalley I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review. I liked that Ms. Michels delved into many different areas within this read. There was an examination of the true meaning of friendship and loyalty, hidden revelations, unrequited love and an edge of danger. At first meeting Ethan is hard to forget. He quickly took a hold of my heart with his wit, persistence and optimism. Roselyn irked me. Her uppity attitude was too much of a turn off for me. Ethan deserved better. Still I found this story worthy of 3.5 stars because it was an easy read that had character.
