  • So much more than it seems

A porn star and a rabbi walk into a seminar... It almost sounds like the start of a joke, but let me tell you something: I cried. This book resonated with me to a degree I was not expecting. I knew I was most likely going to love it, having loved The Roommate, but I didn't know how much it was going to affect me. I am so in love with Naomi and Ethan and their story of love and faith and identity and community and how messy all those intersections can be. I am also so in love with how this book (and it's predecessor, The Roommate) discusses sex positivity, and the stigma of sex work, and the search for intimacy in our society. I'm sure I'll be able to say a bit more about this book soon but right now I just want to stay with it for a bit longer and hold these characters close to my heart and thank Rosie Danan for bringing them into my life. And in the meantime, I'll be over here telling anyone who will hear me that you need to read this book.... You might not know it yet, but you need The Intimacy Experiment in your life too.

    Thanks for your feedback!
