  • I absolutely LOVED this book!

Lauren Blakely books just flat out make me happy. Everything she writes brings me pure joy. The smile on my face currently is a direct result of The Knocked Up Plan. I absolutely LOVED this book! (Pretty much a guarantee with this author.) Thank you Lauren Blakely for a smart, fun, strong and independent heroine in Nicole. Thank you the sexy, swoon worthy hero in Ryder. Thanks for this charming, witty, deliciously sexy story filled with laughter, swoons, and even a tear or two. Thank for this book. It’s perfect. The premise of The Knocked Up Plan is unique and fun. Nicole wants to have a baby. Alone. She just needs to find the perfect donor. She’s looking for someone who is college educated, handsome, and obviously not a serial killer. Enter Ryder, her sexy coworker. He’s perfect. Meets all her criteria and more importantly he’s not looking for a relationship. They strike up a deal where Nicole helps Ryder with a work project in return for his “cupcakes.” The baby making fun ensues and feelings develop. I am pretty much obsessed with Ryder and Nicole’s relationship. Their friendship evolved over the months of arrangement into something strong and passionate. They connect so well because they are both genuinely good people with shared interest and off the charts chemistry. I mean, they are seriously perfect for each other. Oh and their kisses and embraces are smoking hot. I just adored them. From the very first page, I just knew I was going to love Nicole. Her wit, determination and caring nature won me over immediately. I love a strong woman who goes after what she wants. That is one of Lauren Blakely’s strong suits. She never creates a weak woman. Ryder has made it onto my favorite Blakely Boy list. Swoon. That man and his ovaries exploding charm is everything you need in a hero. Betrayed in a previous relationship, it is not hard to understand why he sought out to remain single and unattached. Even though he is a confirmed commitment-phobe, he wasn’t a manwhore. Loved that. He’s such a great guy and I really really fell for him. If you are a fan of great romantic comedies with sweetness, great characters, heat, and a unique and refreshing plot line, I highly recommend The Knocked Up Plan. Time and time again, this author knocks it out of the park. She never disappoints.

  • How Could I Not Love This Book?!

What's the modern woman to do when she's reached a certain age, that old clock (yes, you know the one that I mean) is ticking, and there's nary a serious romantic prospect in sight? If you're Nicole Powers, you take matters into your own hands and get busy planning this baby-making thing. I've gotten used to Lauren Blakely knocking my socks off with her romantic comedies. Each one owns me just a little bit more, and choosing favorites is like picking one child over another; you just can't do it. THE KNOCKED UP PLAN literally stole my heart and was quickly added to the list of Books That I'm Soooo Very Happy To Have Read. Let's talk about Ryder Lockhart for a minute. From the very first, his wit, his charm, and his approachability made him MOYD (Man of Your Dreams) material. All of these attributes, plus the fact that the gods of genetics have amply blessed him, make him the perfect choice for Nicole's plan to enter the ranks of mommyhood, and placed him squarely among the ranks of favorite book boyfriends ever. "What I'm trying to say is that I want to have a baby. I've been thinking about it for a long time now, and I'm ready to become a mom. A single mom...Would you help me?" Ryder freezes... "I looked into adoption, and while I think it's amazing, I want to try first to have my own, so I've been looking into sperm banks." He smiles, and that's another feature I can add to the list. The man has a great smile. It's warm and exhilarating at the same time. "Some women are checking out Plenty of Fish. You're checking out plenty of tadpoles," he says, then makes a keep-talking gesture with his free hand. "Let me tell you all about sperm banks." I mean, a cup of sugar, being a plus-one at a social event, sure, but being asked to give the gift that keeps on giving, well, that's something else, and not many guys would be down for it. Ryder, though, is not most guys, and has a wonderful, if somewhat battered, heart beating beneath those cover model looks. Helping out a friend in need is something that he's happy to do. Nicole really couldn't have made a better choice, and so it begins... In THE KNOCKED UP PLAN, Lauren Blakely, with her mystical wordsmithing, has given readers even more characters to fall in love with, a seriously lovely twist on the subject matter, and had me alternately laughing, 'awwing,' swooning, and fanning myself (because, come on, y'all, it's LB, and there will always be those moments!). Nicole and Ryder are not only cute together, they respect each other and they genuinely care about each other, and watching the changes in both of them as their relationship evolves is both heartwarming and sexy. Lauren's books are always some of my favorites, and THE KNOCKED UP PLAN is no exception. It's riding high atop my 2017 Favorites, and the 5+ sweet, sexy, and swoony stars make it one that I'd recommend to rom-com lovers everywhere. You need to grab this one up, guys, because it goes down like the sweetest treat. Enjoy.

  • This book definitely delivered!

**Advanced reader copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review** Oh how I love to dive into the world of Lauren Blakely! She never ever fails to provide fun, witty, hot, romantic books with strong heroines and swoonworthy heroes and The Knocked Up Plan is no exception! Nicole Powers is a successful single woman living in New York City who is a columnist and radio disc jockey who gives advice on dating and relationships. Her life seems to be pretty fulfilled with the exception of the fact she really, really wants to be a mother. Nicole doesn't feel like she needs a man in her life to reach her goal of having a child, so she starts looking into the options she has. While she's very close to selecting a donor from a sperm bank, she comes to the realization that the person she really wants to father her baby is none other than her co-worker, the hot and sexy Ryder Lockhart. All she wants is a deposit, she doesn't expect anything beyond that from him. The question is, will he agree to help? Ryder Lockhart has been through the wringer in the last few years. He was married to whom he thought was the woman he'd be with for the rest of his life, but she changed all that when she cheated on him multiple times. He's now divorced and is really struggling to let go of the bitterness that the whole episode has left him with. When his radio show starts to go downhill, his boss tells him to clean it up and bring the ratings up, or it's going to be off the air. Knowing that Ryder has to do something fairly drastic, he hopes that his co-worker Nicole can help him out. When Ryder and Nicole finally come together to discuss both of their "projects" they come to the conclusion pretty quickly that they are meant to help one another. Nicole can help Ryder by going on dates with him for his research and he can help her by providing what she needs, which in turn allows him to enjoy the benefits of a relationship without actually being in a relationship. Will it all be as easy as it sounds or will feelings get involved and complicate things? I always enjoy reading books by Lauren Blakely because you know what you're going to get, yet you don't. You know you will always get a well written, well thought out book with a great storyline and great characters. What I love though is you never know how things are going to go down. You might think things will be really straightforward, but then Lauren throws you one of the best curves you've ever seen. Plus, I love how creative her books always are. There is one thing that her books always do and that is deliver and in this case, pun intended!

  • ...Blakely is synonymous with IRRESISTIBLE.

Ms. Blakely never ceases to amaze me. Her talent continues to grow as she sets out to delight and entice her readers. Whether setting the stage for adventure, luring into danger or manipulating the heart and hormones, the name Blakely is synonymous with IRRESISTIBLE. The Knocked Up Plan has a reputation to live up to and it does so with the thrill of the chase and the heat of the attraction while delivering laughs that are punch line gold. I loved that she dreamed up two people that are more alike than most characters in romance. The commonalities far outweigh their differences but the battle still simmers with each look and conversation Ryder and Nicole exchange.
