  • A good read

this was a great story to read the author did it again I have read many of her books this one is one of my favorite however I do wish that the story had had more involvement of the family with the love story and that the love scenes would have been a little bit more detailed in there descriptives. Also when I read a story based on revenge I like to have a little bit more of emotional turmoil I felt that was lacking in this story. with how vengeful Georgiana was I would have liked to have seen her cause a little bit more embarrassment to her and get a public comeuppance from their peers.

  • a wonderful couple

The Laird Who Loved Me, by Karen Hawkins, was originally published in 2009. I found it one day while browsing around my favorite bookshop. I loved the cover, good looking man, and stopped to read the description. I bought my first Karen Hawkins book that day. The main characters are delightful and spark off each other nicely. The test/quest is an interesting plot maneuver, it added a sense of adventure and excitement to the story. The curse is interesting but the test is better. I rarely give 5 stars to any book, it's hard to be that good. The Laird Who Loved me gets 5 from me & made me a Karen Hawkins fan. I bought the other books in the series. #Karen Hawkins #TheLairdWhoLovedMe #MacLeanCurse #PocketBooks #HistoricalRomance #ScottishRomance
