  • Nostalgic

Very funny and accurate description of the 1960s and beyond. I liked the authors honesty and humour.

  • Very appropriate!

Eminently readable, this factual social history is a wonderful overview and critique of our times. Despite being laced with humour, it does not shirk to discuss the harsh realities of the eras under review. A must read for our times!

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • The land before avocado

Fantastic trip down memory lane and a wonderful positive note to end on. We are indeed the lucky country.

  • Grew up in Australia? Buy it!

Nostalgia IS what it used to be if this example of a boy/man growing up in Australia is the evidence. I am almost a contemporary of Richard Glover's and I remembered nearly everything he wrote about as if it had happened yesterday. Great piece of writing.

  • A tribute to optimism

Such a funny, warm and thought provoking look at the history of our country! You really gave me new insight into why my mother is how she is, and how quickly the world has turned.

    Thanks for your feedback!
