  • Delhi Revisited

The Last Mughal is a good book. What I liked of this book is that it is backed up by strong research. The book throws new insights on the cruelties committed by both the sepoys and the British of that time. This cruelties, can be classified as war crimes. And how unfortunate that many men walked out scot free without even a trial because they happened to be on the winning side. This book exposes the fact that the company men were no different from the modern day ISIS. The book also throws light on the cruelties committed by the Sepoys which needs to thought to present generations of Indians so that they realise that there are two sides of a coin.

  • The Last Mughal

The first William Dalymple book I've read, but it wont be the last. Provided an engaging insight into "The Indian Mutiny" and how the East India Company operated a private army, jails and judiciary. I wish I had read The White Mughals first.
