Did not want to put it down

I had no expectations for this book and was very excited to read it! I was not disappointed. I didn’t want to put it down and for weeks I found myself talking about it! Love it!

A non-fiction book for lovers of librarys

The Library Book is a journey documenting the history of the Los Angeles Library, with a focus on the fire that occured in 1986. It is definitely written from a journalist's point of view, and you can tell that Susan Orlean has put in a huge amount of work researching and interviewing people. This is a book I would recommend to people who love visiting librarys, as Susan touches a lot on the nostalgia and community surrounding a public library, and the lives of librarians who have worked there. It is a really interesting read for those who enjoy non-fiction.

Time I will never get back in my life!

So boring ... why does a library need a float or a story for that matter. I spent 32 chapters looking for a 'hook' to keep interested. No luck!!
