  • There are better bios available!

Not sure if this book was written primarily for a Western or an Eastern audience. Hard to be sympathetic at all (as the author tries to be) toward someone directly responsible for so many deaths and so much suffering. He tries to paint her as an Asian feminist rather than the narcissistic sociopathic megalomaniac she was. Typos throughout the book - could have used a conscientious editor

  • Political and Personal Betrayals

An actress who loves fame and adoration of her audiences, becomes the wife of the most powerful man in her country. She is a woman who loves power and who never forgets a alight. The politics of the country make it possible for many betrayals and murders.
