  • I liked it.

One good thing about this book is that there is lots of adventure. Another good thing is that it has a good plot. What would be even better would be if the language wasn't so old fashioned. Overall I think that this book is a joy to read. I highly recommend it

  • An action packed book

The second instalment of the Chronicles of Narnia introduces us to four new characters. Set years after the first book, this book immediately reintroduces the world of Narnia. The reader feels sympathy towards Lucy as we know she is telling the truth about Narnia, yet none of her siblings believe her. Once again, the reader is immersed into a world full of magic and danger. As Edmund makes a deadly mistake, anger is built up against him. He betrayed his family, earning the reader to lose trust in him. However, this is slowly gained back as he realises his mistake and tries to make amends. Personally, I felt more connected and engaged whilst reading this book as there was more action than the previous book, which really just serves to set the scene. While the first book is engaging, I found that I enjoyed the second book more as it dealt with more action. Overall, this book is a really engaging and emotional read, with readers constantly feeling fear as the Pevensie’s risk their lives in journeying across Narnia in hopes of finding Aslan.
