  • Unpredictable Thriller

Firstly, the blurb doesn't give anything anyway. The book is a sci-fi psychological thriller, which I didn't realise at first until it was too late and I was so drawn in by the tension and wanted answers. I really enjoyed the way it was written, it flowed seemlessly despite the changing format (first person, emails, audio messages, etc.). I won't say much more because I would say reading it with only having read the blurb is why I was so pleasantly surprised by the depth of the story. I spent most of the story trying to hypothesis the ending though enjoyed the fact that I couldn't predict the plot twists. It should be noted that though it is a YA sci-fi novel it is rather dark in places.

  • What can I say!

Homestly one of the best reads of mine for a long time. Perfect balance of horror and love! Not going to say I wasnt scared (prob from reading real late at night, but still, scary)

  • Slow building tension

At times it was rather frustrating watching this teenager fall in slow motion for a trap the reader could see coming, but it did not seem unbelievable for such an isolated teenager to be this naïve. The various mysteries were neatly exposed as the climax was reached, so despite stretching credibility in places it was a satisfying read.
