  • The loneliness of London

This book gives an insight into the life of immigrants to London in the 50s and 60s. It makes you ashamed to be English. We wanted them to come over and swell the workforce, as long as we didn't have to see them or live/work alongside them. A very sad book.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • An important read!

I enjoyed this book overall, an important look into the lives of some of the first people to migrate to Britain. The storey of Moses and other black men who go to Britain and are faced with highs and lows of life among the back drop of the racism regarding faces of different colours.

    Thanks for your feedback!
