  • Edge of seat read!

Alice Palmer has a beautiful home in an upscale neighborhood, her own catering business and no money worries. Alice meets a handsome successful man who, within a very short time, has moved into her home and has persuaded her to marry him. Alice is very naive and much too trusting so she fails to see all the red flags that keep popping up which makes this a book you can't put down. Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC of this very exciting page-turner in exchange for an honest review. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a really good psychological thriller.

  • Quick Compusive Read

A whirlwind romance hurtles into a whirlwind story with so many twists and turns that you just can't stop reading! The lesson here is to listen to that little voice in your head - it could save you heartache and just possibly your life.

  • 3.75 Stars

This thriller takes the concept of Identity Theft to an utterly frightening level and you get a thrilling novel that is really hard to put down. I read this book in one day, in under 7 hours. The storyline and plot are original and so immensely intriguing, I kept wanting to know what was next. A mystery with twisted phycological turns, Alison James, has given us a blazing fast storyline full of intrigue, battles of minds and bodies, and souls. I devoured Ms. James' words from cover to cover. Alice and Dominic were both interesting characters...the good and the bad...the ying and the yang. My only negative thought, hence the 3.75 stars, is the ending was a bit out there, the first 3/4 of the book was a five star read but the last 25% was just an ok 2 or 3. This is my first read of Alison James and I look forward to reading many more of her works in the future.

  • Edge of Your Set, Stay Up Late Kind of Read

What a twisted story that kept me reading and wanting answers! I don’t want to give too much away but I will share a few thoughts: 1) Alice, dear sweet Alice, you are a fool. You gave Dominic far too much forgiveness and space. 2) Dominic, bravo on being such a skilled actor. Who knew your time as Atticus Finch would pay off? 3) Always trust those closest to you when they see the red flags... because love and desire often blind us to the true colors of a person. Even our husband! For those of you looking for a psychological thriller, give this book a read. Solid amount of crazy that keeps you reading far into the night!
