    Another great Lee Child read

Another great read - from the first page to the last page the story was engaging. The plot was both complex and easy to understand. The characters had great rapport - with the humour Lee Child injected into this book, adding another dimension. Both my husband and I have read this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Will be waiting with bated breath for the next instalment.

    The midnight line

Over before it begun, could be twice as long and still you'd want more. Seemed to have a few loose ends though compared to normal and vehicle locations seemed to jump, maybe just me, still seems a long way off to the next one.

    The Midnight Line

You won't put it down, you can't put it down. Not the usual Reacher style, but very worthwhile.

    Time For Jack to Retire?

Disappointing. Lee Child has lost the plot---literally. This is not the Reacher we know of old. Little bone-breaking assaults on the baddies; too much introversion and philosophising about the good v. bad. An overly-long tale with a rambling, multi-directional plot line and a lack of cohesion with the characters' interactions. Could've been half the length, and I couldn't get to the end quickly enough. Will think twice before reading the next Jack Reacher.
