  • lovely story

The Moonlight Serenade is book eleven in the Dare Valley series by Ava Miles. What a lovely story - hearing their love story from the very beginning, while Rhett holds their daughter in his arms. It was like visiting with old friends. The story fill in blanks from the Holiday Serenade; as well as sharing surprising and new elements to how they became "one." Very sweet and enjoyable read! • Beautiful beginning to their story

Was great to see Rhett and Abbie again. And seeing how he was with their baby girl made him that much more endearing. And hearing about their passionate beginning and how she came to trust and ultimately grow to love Rhett was beautiful. This was a wonderful beginning to their story and a beautiful addition to the Dare Valley series.

  • Reminiscing Rhett And Abbie's love story

As with all of Ms Miles' books, I enjoyed reading The Moonlight Serenade. It is written differently from other books as The Moonlight Serenade is about Rhett and Abbie's story, told from Rhett's perspective. I liked the way it was done, telling his daughter their story as he would tell a bedtime story. However, I thought that it would be better if the reader has already read The Holiday Serenade. I read The Holiday Serenade some time back and I had forgotten parts of the story. I felt that I would have connected better with the story if I had read it just after reading The Holiday Serenade. Nevertheless, I think it is a great idea, writing from Rhett's perspective and I really did enjoy reminiscing together with Rhett their love story. * I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. • A sweet look at the start of one of my favorite co

Rhett has been one of my favorite characters throughout Ms. Miles' books (isn't he everyone's?!) and being able to read about the start of him and Abbie falling in love was wonderful! I love being able to really delve into the backstory of characters, to see how they got to where they are. I can't wait to read about the next couple! Please note: I received an eBook copy for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

  • Another great book

I have loved all of Ava Miles Dare Valley books and this one is no exception. I should first say I love is that this book started off so differently than the others. When you start this book you immediately know the ending but not how it happened which for me was such a nice twist. I love learning the Rhett Butler Blaylock and Abbie Maven have a baby girl together. The story starts with Rhett telling their daughter all about how he convinced her mama to be with him. They are very different people, Rhett a famous poker player who dresses on the wild side with a big personality, while Abbie is a prime and proper lady. It takes a strong and special woman to be able to tame and deal with Rhett as he is very bit a celebrity- loves to party, always has two poker babes hanging around him. Rhett has been both friends and competitor of Mac Maven for some time. When first met Mac’s sister, Abbie, he was floored by her, the proper lady who would not give him the time of day because of his wild man ways and everything she has heard about him. This isn’t who he really is but the public eats it up. Not only was Abbie off limits because he was his friend’s sister, she was way too good for him, or so he thought. Abbie Maven is a single mom with a teenage son who she is raising with the help of her brother. Abbie has been hurt, badly, and has kept it buried deep. Rhett is the only man she has ever really felt an attraction to but they were friends for years before they finally admitted their feelings for each other. They strike a bargain: a secret relationship on her terms. Behind closed doors, everything is perfect. But his poker persona as a bad boy undermines everything she’s raising her son to believe in. Things start out great but obviously when you are only together behind closed doors things eventually must end or change.
