  • A Wonderful Book!

I am already a fan of Donna Douglas' work, having read every book in the 'Nightingale' series. "The Nurses of Steeple Street" allows the reader a peak at the lives of young nurses in Yorkshire, England in the 1920's. The reader is able to glimpse the nurses' trials, failures and triumphs and at the same time we see the challenging and interesting lives of their patients as well. It's great to immerse yourself in a different time and situation, and get totally caught up in the story. A great book is always one that you don't want to see end and yet you can't put it down even though you know the end is near! This may be cliche, but that's exactly what happened when I was reading this book. A wonderful read that definitely meets the high standards that the author has set with her previous books!
