  • Slow read

Did not really care for this book. Kept waiting for the twist or turn but it just never came. I actually found it depressing and very predictable.

  • Amazing Read

“Get out while you can. You’ll die here…” Adeline Evans has recently moved into a home for the elderly. A safe space, where she can be cared for. When she begins to receive cryptic and threatening notes, she is certain that someone is out to get her. But the residents are warned against listening to a woman who is losing her memory. It would seem Adeline is tormented by the secrets in her past, and that the menace is all in her mind. Until danger comes down the corridor and starts knocking in the night… This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable. Great suspense and found myself second guessing every thought I had continuousluy. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading. I was provided an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher. This is my own honest voluntary review.

  • Excellent

Could not put this book down The plot just kept turning and twisting. It's a very interesting read - it was a psychological thriller story with an insight into being a resident in a seniors home! Detwiler did it again. She is a great author

  • Great quick read

Love stories that jump from past to present. This was a good read visiting youth, old age, and loss. You can feel the main characters anxiety at times.

  • The One Who Got Away

The book on the whole was good.It was fairly easy to figure out the offending killer. The ending I found to be very disappointing.I would give this author a opportunity to impress me by reading more of her works. You have great promise and look forward to other mysteries.
