  • “It’s Not What You Think”

I had a therapist friend say once that a large percentage of teenage girls had experienced some sort of romanticized connection with another female while in either mid or high school years or early in their college years. Often those are no more than “practice sessions” between you and your besties for what to do when you finally start dating boys. Sometimes, they are the harbinger of lifestyles to come. The author did an incredible job of addressing the emotional damage that can be wrought when they face ostracism or punishments from peers, teachers, parents and those that make too big of a deal about it. By and large though, this story is a remarkedly well done psychological thriller, while showing the warped personalities that develop young in life and the damage that self-loathing can do to those that are less than comfortable in their own skin. This was an excellent first novel and I look forward to other books Lesley Sanderson will write.

  • The Orchid Girls

A wonderful psychological thriller, it had me on the edge of my seat, I couldn’t put it down. Right until the end I was trying to work out what happened, it was fantastic I thoroughly recommend it.

  • Not too bad.

Not a bad read. Slightly predictable and a few spelling errors. Interesting idea though with a nice lesbian fatal attraction vibe.

  • The Orchard Girls.

Pulls you in from the first page and doesn't let go until it spits you out at the end. Edge of your seat story.
