    THE PASSAGE OF LOVE

Ifound ALex Miller's novel a deeply moving fictional biography. The chapters set in Melbourne and the various locations took me back to my innocent and questing self. I began to feel any page now we will bump into each other in the Swanston Family hotel. In that Bohemian six o'clock swill packed with intense aspiring artists, writers all talking at once and all desperate to love and be loved. This wonderful journey through love's painful and exquisite joy is beautifully recalled and enriched by the passage of time. I thoroughly recomend it for its evocation of another world we stumbled blindly through.

    Maybe Miller's Finest

This is a sublime piece of writing. Miller tells the story of a life with such tenderness, traversing the years and the loves and struggles of his chacters in a totally understated but compelling way. This is a must read
