    The absolute perfect read

** Review by Kylie From Bloggers From Down Under ** I have never read a “rural set” book. I always thought they weren’t my thing!! (I live in a small town, but I’m a city girl at heart). When I was given this book to review, I wondered what I had gotten myself into..........for, oh at least three seconds!! Once I’d started, the Patterson sisters wound their way into my life, so much so, I wanted to be their sister too. “How can four sisters build the future they so desperately want, when the past is reaching out to claim them?” I was hooked. Big time!! The four Patterson sisters, Madeleine, Lucinda, Abigail and Charlotte are different than each other in so many ways. Madeleine is living in the States, madly in love with her engaged co-worker. Abigail lives in London, and her treasured violin is her ticket to success. Lucinda and her husband Joe desperately want to have a baby. And then there’s Charlotte (Charlie) who doesn’t have diplomas or letters after her name, therefore thinks she can’t measure up to her older sisters. The Christmas after their mum dies, Brian (their dad) summons all the girls back to Meadow Brook for what could be their last Christmas in the Motel they all grew up in. Secrets are soon revealed and stories from long ago, once again shared. But upon clearing out their mothers belongings, the girls stumble across an old wedding card that mentions a curse set upon all Patterson born girls. With more twists and turns than Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, all four girls go about their lives, with the knowledge of the curse always looming. And while all their lives seem to be falling apart, they realise that family is really the only thing they all need. And sometimes family isn’t always blood related. The absolute perfect read. I cannot fault it in any way. All I can do is urge you to read this beautiful story. 5 stars

    Patterson Girls

Enjoyed and felt keen to continue reading to find out what happened. Especially loved the happy and hopeful ending. However I'm frustrated that so many editors of books and newspapers have insufficient knowledge of correct grammar and spelling and sorry I didn't keep a record of mistakes in this book.

    Great book

It's a great book. Very well written and very entertaining. Just be aware it's a lot about trying to conceive. I'm in that situation and it's an very emotional process if it doesn't work. If I had know it would be about this I wouldn't have read it. But now afterwards I'm glad because it gives me the feeling I'm not alone with that problem. I can certainly recommend it.
