Will he save Katie and the children?

really like this series and glad to finally get Robert's story. Katie is left with her two young siblings after her step-father is killed. She needs to leave New York right away because they will have no where to live and no income. At the advice of a friend, she becomes a mail order bride. She lies and says the children belong to her. She is afraid her new husband will not accept them if he finds out they are her siblings. Robert immediately accepts this new family, but finds out things are not what they seems. Will he keep them or send them away? Then trouble comes to their door. Will he save Katie and the children or leave them to fend for themselves?

    The Pretender Bride

I received an advance copy of this book for my honest review. The opinions expressed are my own. Please don't discount my review because of this, because it IS honest. I don't have to fudge the rating to truly reflect the quality of the book, especially given the quality of the author. The format is as expected(Why fix what isn't broken?). A woman decides to take a hugh risk and become a Mail Order Bride in the developing West where good women are not easily available. This bride is also bringing along her younger brother and sister. But the groom believes them to be her children, not her siblings. The prospective groom needs some time and a deadly threat to his new family to realize he has fallen in love with his wife. You get to check on the previous couples and see how they're doing too. The format may be the same for all of her books but Cynthia Woolf makes each bride into a well rounded strong female character. And the men are all Man! What I really love about this author's books is their simplicity. The stories remain focused without a lot of the lover's angst I find in a great many other Romance novels. That angst usually drives me crazy wanting to yell at them to get on with it already and just start talking to each other! The length is great for a slow afternoon with your feet up and nothing to do but enjoy yourself. The book is a stand alone but you will enjoy it more if you read the series in order as characters from previous books do appear in each new book as the series progresses. Enjoy!

    Riveting Romance

From struggles, and lies, to joy and truth as this Western Romance unfolds. I really enjoyed it.
