  • Excellent read!

Engages the reader immediately and continues to do so to the last page - and that's coming from a someone who is not a history buff! Taught me a great deal of our Canadian history and the difference these individuals made. This book needs to be part of our high school curriculum as it tells our history in a way that makes it interesting, real, alive. Encourages me to read more of Gray's work.

    Thanks for your feedback!

An excellent snapshot of Canada at a pivotal moment in our history, written in a very accessible style. Highly recommended.

  • Informative & easy read

It's such a well-written book. It condenses Canada's history in only a few chapters but just enough to understand how the country became what it is today. And it's great that her last chapter touches on people who are still alive. This helps in realizing that history is not static but a real moving force.

  • Another perspective

I enjoy historical related books that give a perspective on contemporary situations. By focusing on a few key players Grey gives a very unique picture of Canada.
