  • A Hard Lesson Learned

Suzanne’s life is being a firefighter. She has put her heart and soul into her job. When trapped in a fire she learns the one she thought she could count on has feet of clay and, ultimately, it may cost her much more than she ever thought until she finds support in the last place she ever would have expected. The tale is an all too common example of what a woman faces in what’s still considered a male dominated world. It’s a tough lesson, but Suzanne’s inner strength and the support of her loved ones will see her through. This is a romance filled with emotions and drama, well-drawn characters, and a strong, fast paced storyline that will keep you captivated from start to finish. A perfect addition to this engaging and highly entertaining series.

  • Who is the arsonist?

Although this book can be read as a stand-alone, it is even more enjoyable when read in the series. Suzanne O’Connell is a firefighter and has been involved with Toby, who has recently been promoted over her. The warning signs of their relationship are out there but Suzanne chooses to ignore them. To top it off, she runs into her high school boyfriend who has recently moved back to their town. Toby was promoted due to his connections, not his ability as a firefighter. When Toby mishandles a fire, he tries to put all the blame on Suzanne. Town politics, an arsonist and a messed-up love life has her fighting for her job and her self-esteem. My only issue is that the book ended rather abruptly, although I’m hoping that future books in the series resolve the ending.

  • Unfinished

Lovely story, but the lovestory develops top quickly in the end and the storyline is unfinished. Once you start loving the characters and get into the story, it's finished all of a sudden.
