  • Can I return this book?

Bolton is certainly attempting to impress the readers with his so called knowledge of events and according to him, his great advice and roles he has had over the years! Ah hem! That to me is a complete turn off! If I want to read history, I will certainly find it with a reputable author! He starts to cut down Obama immediately and continues to do so! That is the biggest turnoff! A completely biased author is not someone I want to waste my time and money on! I certainly do not recommend this book to anyone!!

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Terrible writing from a self-absorbed author

This reads like an expanded version of Bolton's diary, complete with detailed intineraries and lots of self-praise. There is no cohesive structure besides Bolton's day-to-day activities and meetings. There is little to no context or justification given for any of his policy recommendations that he complains were disregarded by others in the administration, and no discussion of how policy decisions impacted anything other than White House relationships. As someone who stays away from the Trump reality show, I was hoping that this might give me some insight into current policy with less drama. This is not that, and I regret purchasing it.

  • Disturbing

John Bolton tells us how life is in Trump's White House. Although at times with a somewhat confusing narrative, we get a glimpse of the very stable genius mind at work and it is scary to see that POTUS is, since day 1, a man on a mission: being reelected in 2020.

  • Poorly Written

A VERY hard read. The book could easily have been 50% shorter. The issue is Bolton spent a great part of the book selling us on how great he is/ talking about himself. I really don't think I gained much more of an insight into 'The Donald' from reading the book. Very disappointing for sure.
