  • Bar work is never dull

Grisham goes back to school, where three law students encounter a nightmare, before going on a crusade.

  • The Rooster Bar

Superb read could not put it down! One of Grisham’s best. His knowledge it the legal system makes everything feel so real.

  • Grisham’s social commentary

I have a suspicion Grisham wrote this book as a veiled criticism of the Trump era. The action is set in DC, blocks away from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, in an age where making money is the holy grail and regulations to protect the unsuspecting public are evil. Ranckley would probably, in real life, have contributed to Trump’s campaign. They are, after all, both from New York. And he would be seen as a hero by the current administration, helping poor students who would otherwise have no future, become lawyers with a brilliant future (at least in theory). And let’s not talk about the deportation of illegal foreigners.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • This will make you cry!

Sooo funny, poignant and sadly true. Anyone who comes into contact with the NHS should read and share.
