  • The Rule Of Fear

That was quite an uncomfortable read. Within the first couple of chapters you understand why Mr Delaney felt the need to put the foreword in, and the strange experience soon overcomes you in your desire to want the "hero", Jack King, to fail. This was uncomfortable because you can understand it happening. It's by no means a huge stretch of the imagination and also, as the work progresses, it becomes easier to understand how and why life has affected him the way it has. Quite depressing in some ways, but also much more a warning on the effects of not only drugs but power, and in this case life experience as well. Thankfully the ending was right - it could have been tempting to carry this on. A good read, difficult in places but worth the effort, as it gets to be very difficult to put down.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Superb, loved it!

Absolutely brilliant. This could be a based on a true story it is so realistic. Great characterisation. So fast paced and compelling. I even had tears rolling down my face at the end. I was on a packed train and highly embarrassed but couldn't stop myself!
