    Thanks for your feedback!

    Disappointing work from this author.

A story set in England which has reverted to an agrarian society after an apocalypse, similar to that foretold in the Bible, has wiped out the technology which we have come to know. A good novel requires the blending of style and substance. Harris' writing style is extremely good but the substance ...? A re-read of "Fatherland"- by the author - might be in order.

Not in the same league as 'Fatherland'

A pretty good narrative pace which was not matched by the story itself and the ending was anti-climactic. Loved Fatherland but this one, not so much.

    The Second Sleep

Superb story. For fans of "end of the world" literature. Leaves you hanging at the end - needs a sequel!

    The Second Sleep

I thought the subject would be an intesting read wbich it was. Unfortuntely the story lapsed into into highly improbable scenarios and an ending that left this reader with the impression that the author had run out of ideas.
