    Thanks for your feedback!

While the story started slow in the first few chapters, I was soon captivated by the story of Armande and found the book to be written in a way that portrayed a different aspect of world war two. I was shocked by some of the outcome and yet did not questioned that it had happened the way it was shared. The book portrays the courageous survival of someone caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and I have told others already that they should read it.

The Secret of the Blue Trunk

What a tribute to the strength of love! A mother's love for her daughter is reflected from her daughter back to her mother. And here is proof that bullies are fundamentally weak. We need to learn how to give of ourselves free-spiritedly. We waste far too much time and strength in having to mount self defences when we don't have each others' backs. I couldn't imagine this connection of the girls of the mat - Armande, Simone, Mathilde and Irena. The amateur literary style survives because of the power of the message. It was gripping.

This book was captivating. It truly is an inspiration to treasure the life we live now. Armande's trials and tribulations were just a reminder to appreciate what I have. Just sad people were really treated this way. Thank you Lise for sharing your mother's story. It has touched this readers heart.
