  • Job Hunting Dream

Queen Leslie North again creates a fantasy of an ordinary girl who meets a rich and handsome sheikh. The Sheikh's Pretend Fiancee is the first of the Sharif Sheikhs Series. Liyah was a foreign exchange student to the Middle East where fond memories warmed her soul. After five years she is returning to Dubai in the hopes of recapturing these magical recollections and finding a librarian job. A chance meeting and business events prompts Asad to offer Liyah money in exchange for the role of his pretend Fiancee. Reality becomes new beginnings for both Asad and Liyah. " A copy of this book was provided by Relay Publishing via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion. Romance to enjoy curled up with PJ's on.

  • A pleasant love story on the Arabic world

This is the first story of the Sharif Sheikh series and it is about Liyah and Asad. Liyah is American and she is visiting Dubai for her second time. Her first time was 5 years ago when she went as foreign exchange student. She is librarian and she has really loved Dubai and felt it as her home. After Mila’s insisting she will go to the restaurant where she works and because one of the waitress has delayed she will help around and like that she will meet Asad though at that time she will not know that he is a sheikh. Asad is in the middle of a business deal, which he is afraid that he will lose because the investors see him as a boy. That’s when his sister Amira will come with the idea of setting up a pretended engagement in order to convince them that he is a man. Asad he make this proposition to Liyah who will accept and as time will go by things will change between them. An amazing romantic love story. The author did an excellent job in conveying the culture, pictures, tastes and odors of Arabia. The story itself was fast paced with interchange of hot scenes and the evolvement of the plot. I loved it. I could not let down the book.

  • A heart's desire becomes a real life fantasy ...

A heart's desire becomes a real life fantasy in The Sheikh's Pretend Fiancee. Leslie North is a whiz at bringing the fairy tale to life. Liyah and Asad bring The Swan Princess to life with a sensuality that is not as evident in the original and a heart that lives on with every telling. Liyah is a woman with a large heart. She yearns to find her place in the world. A caring spirit and her hope for adventure bring her to the Middle East and the attention of a man on the hunt. She's out of her league. He's in need of a bit of damage control. What they discover is an adventure of the heart is worth risking it all.
