    Motorcycle tourer

What a fabulous book, the detail and the setting in the early part of the last century including the first world war and after is amazing. I highly recommend this book with its fabulous characters to anyone with a interest in English society a hundred years ago.

    The Shifting Fog

A brilliant Read. One that you do not want to put down & continually keeps you in suspense. I would highly recommend this book of Kate Morton's.

    Sweeping History and Elegantly Romantic

This book is stunning. I assumed I would struggle reading it, but it was easy to follow and very detailed. I felt as though I had moved into the world of the story, both in its present and in its past. Simply wonderful and I can't wait to read more Kate Morton

    Difficult to rate

As a work of historical fiction there is a lot about it that is really very good. But I found that a lot of the book dragged. It seemed too long, and the conclusion too obvious to give it the necessary forward impetus. I was never tempted to put it down, but I wasn't totally enthralled either.
