  • Good

Peter Darman finds areas of history which are not handled very often. Teutonic Knights and their forebears is one such, the Parthians another. A fascinating and exciting novel based on fact I can't wait to read the next in the series - I hope this is the first of a series.

  • Interesting read

The book tells a great story about a period of time that I had not read or researched before. The concept of crusades I have generalise to the Middle East but it is nice to look at a different part of the world and experience the crusade philosoohy

  • Excellent

Peter Darmen takes innocuous pieces of history not well written about and brings them to life. Hi Pathian series was excellent and his crusader in the Baltic's is just as good. Nice to have a change from the multitude of historical fiction centred around Rome.

  • The Sword Brothers

I found this book very entertaining. I enjoyed the descriptions given but sometimes became confused with the names, but still found the story very enjoyable.
