  • The Thief

Another fast paced, and excellent story, as we expect of Cussler. This time our intrepid detective is taken into the early days of movie making, and the WW1 pre-war tensions, to fight for a new and valuable invention that would benefit both the film and military industries.

  • Rubbish

This is without doubt the most dull & boring book I have read for a long time I even deleted it after getting up to chapter 30 I couldn't take any more of this dire rubbish. Cussler is normally one of my favourite authors. What happened here I don't know.

  • Lumbering

I'm a great fan of Clive Cussler, having read most of his books, but I found this one rather confusing and lumbering in places. Only the last few chapters are worth getting into, the rest were superfluous to some extent. Never mind, you can't win them all.

  • Sparkling action

One of the things I do enjoy about all Cussler novels is that all are equal. Along with all the expected action and drama, the interplay of the characters' own expectations about others plays out and is used with a fine eye to remind the reader not to make the same mistakes.
