    Mind opener

The scope and complexity of this story stretched my mind in ways it's never been stretched before. A challenging but totally intriguing premise that certainly leaves you wanting to know more.

Amazing, unique piece of sci fi

A cast of characters that are unique in their inception, not reliant on tired tropes, the author fashions a new style of sci fi mixing real physical phenomena with theoretical possibility. It’s a unique meditation on the importance of basic science in shaping our culture.

    Intellectual

At first, I had a hard time getting into the story. I didn't understand the relevance of the first part (set in the past) with the rest of the book. It seemed a bit all over the place. But then I really got into it and I couldn't stop reading. I love the intellectual side of this book. I always wanted to know more. And now I just want to read the next volume.

    Start of something big

First contact with alien life in an interesting way. Yet, it all concludes in a way that feels like a beginning of an anime. It left me wanting more as it potrays a piece of history not taught in my country.
